Zaatari refugee camp ถือเป็นค่ายผู้ลี้ภัยที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศจอร์แดน ค่ายแห่งนี้ถูกตั้งขึ้นมาเมื่อกรกฏาคม 2012 เพื่อเป็นที่หลบภัยของชาวซีเรียที่หนีสงครามกลางเมือง ปัจจุบันมี่ผู้ลี้ภัยอาศัยอยู่ในค่ายแห่งนี้ราว 80,000 คน ถือเป็นค่ายผู้ลี้ภัยที่มีขนาดใหญ่เป็นอันดับ 2 ของโลก โดยล่าสุดทางการของจอร์แดนเผย 1 ใน 4 ของงบประมาณประเทศต้องใช้ดูแลผู้ลี้ภัยกว่า 600,000 ที่อาศัยอยู่ตามที่ต่าง ๆ ในจอร์แดน
